Warning Regarding Solicitors
There are an increasing number of door-to-door scams of various kinds. Fortunately in River Heights we don’t see these much, but it’s always good to be cautious when anyone unexpected comes to your home selling something.
Years ago, we had a person purporting selling magazines door to door claiming they were recommended by neighbors.
If a person comes to your door and is selling magazines, or anything else, and indicates they are well known by your neighbors, you may want to check immediately before allowing them in your home. If you have any concerns, call the police to verify the individual’s credentials.
